There is no reasoning necessary. It’s job figures. Imagine introducing an entire argument about the economy to minimise a key metric all politicians campaign on.

And no one seriously looks at that number in isolation. Context is key!

Perhaps instead of mouthing off about stuff you know little about rather just read an article that encapsulates what I've been saying.

In short you're wrong. Deal with it.

That article is from January.

Today, labor force participation is above pre-covid levels as well.

In short you're wrong. Deal with it.

You can make whatever argument you like. It doesn’t change the metric. You and kieppie can discuss the US economy to your hearts content, you economic savants!

Where did I argue that. I said you can’t use that metric in isolation mate. Keep misconstruing my argument to your hearts content.

And yet plenty do, US citizens and politicians alike. Am I wrong in saying that?
No, and I never said they don’t but even the Bureau of Labour Statistics segments their numbers to provide more insight. Your understanding of the US economy would be lacking if you based it on this metric alone.

What metric should we be looking at in addition to this one?

Am I commenting on the US economy or a metric? Pretty sure it’s a metric. One, which, for the hundredth time is core to Americans - not only in politics but general sentiment.
