On one hand Democrats have denied that there is actually a border crisis. On the other hand they decry sending just a small fraction of these illegals to their doorstep calling it a crises, despite being sanctuary states. On the other hand they enjoy the prospect of increased congressional seats due to census data including illegals.
I'm running out of hands here...
Putting on a spectacle and trying to score political points at the expense of these people isn't the greatest idea Desantis has come up with.

I disagree, this is actually a great way to make other areas aware of what border states struggle with on a daily basis. Sending them to Martha's vineyard is the chef's kiss.
States have no authority to send them back, the federal government has to, but they are unwilling to do so. Likewise states have no say as to where the government sends them.

It's typical pearl clutching, the illegals aren't bothered by which state they are relocated to. The ones that complain are the ones that use them as a shield and their complaints stem mostly from NIMBY.

Nobody knows or care about "these" people. They get to travel around a bit for free. They are not worse of than what they already were as illegal aliens.

The political point scoring is at the expense of NIMBY Dems who now look stupid

Who would these people be? The folks streaming in, or the legit citizens who voted in Desantis to represent then after their rights were being trampled upon when (D)s turned aliens into pawns.

Good walls make for good neighbours. Libtards love proving why traditional wisdom exists in the most destructive ways by ignoring it.

From reports it would seem they are Venezuelans. Let's assume they haven't claimed asylum and are in fact undocumented then transporting them across state lines falls under federal jurisdiction thus 8 USC § 1324 may apply. As @Kieppie indicated states have no authority in this type of action so will he interesting to see what happens. So much for lawful, ethical and Christian values.

What is wrong with it? They are sending the illegal immigrants to the richest and legally safe areas for illegals in the country.

I thought Democrats were for open borders? If that is the case, what is wrong with a different territory paying for transport for people over the border?
