It’s been reported it was a single plane and it took off from San Antonio, Texas - that’s even more bizarre. As for selective application I doubt whataboutism is a legal defense.

Turns out USCIS designated Venezuelans with temporary protective status - good chance this bunch of “illegals” might not be illegal after all. So giving them free plane rides would be just a great way of spending tax dollars.
