^^ Speaking of political grandstanding...

Meanwhile these illegals voluntarily went to Martha's Vineyard.

Migrants already being relocated to Cape Cod. Locals breathe sigh of relief

Not really, especially when all attempts to strengthen the border were hamstrung. Prior to this the US didn't have such a big problem with polarised news. Good luck deporting 12 million illegals, like Clinton did, given how unhinged people have become of late.
Recall all those "racist" border wall articles, nauseatingly inaccurate "kids in cages" articles or all the attacks on ICE as an agency. One attempt to expedite the process, for example, was ironically blocked by none other than the now SCOTUS judge KBJ.
The stay in Mexico was one of the best policies they implemented and should enjoy overwhelming bi-partisan support. Sadly we're not living in a rational world.

The Federal government is still hampering attempts by states to secure their borders own. Yet more failure by the Biden administration on top of his campaign messages being one of the root causes of said border problem.
Non-border states are too far removed from the problem to realise its severity. It's a convenient PR opportunity for Democrats in those states. Until the problem arrives at their doorstep so to speak.

Cue gaslighting to tell you how this never happened.

Hamstrung eh? Surely with $3 billion in funding for border security this year DeSantis can do more than give free plane rides to Venezuelans?

Replace Desantis with Abbott and bus rides. Sorry it gets confusing trying to keep track of all these migrants getting free transport courtesy of the GOP.
Well bus rides are relatively cheap comparatively speaking with the added benefit of raising border awareness in other states. So all in all not a bad way to spend your budget.

Are the paid adverts and advertorials about imminent caravans of rapists and murderers not enough?

Not when people assume those racist and murderers will remain in the border towns. But now that they are delivered to rich democrat areas, you see the affect that they had.

Martha's Vineyard, with a population of 15,000, is "not equipped to provide sustainable accommodation" to the migrants, Baker said.

If 15,000 of America's most influential, including some of it's most richest, can't accommodate 50, how can the US accommodate or afford 12 million?
Baker also said he will activate 125 members of the Massachusetts National Guard to help with the relief efforts.
For 50?

Where does the US get 30 million National Gaurd to assist with the 12 million?

Pretty sure they’ve been transporting them to other states for years. There are licensed shelters all over the country. When they get sent to Florida it’s called Biden’s Midnight secret flights that aren’t very secret.

Maybe it has something to do with facilities that are funded for this very purpose elsewhere?

Imagine if they we as savvy as Florida and Texas, only needed a fraction of a lot to post them to where they're wanted ... sanctuary cities. :giggle:

Why aren't there facilities at Martha's vineyard? Surely Barack Obama could spare a wee corner of his estate for some cages?
Why would they be on an island? You’re really obsessed with Obama? Didn’t he do his fair share of deportations or something?

I know a place with a wall, where he could get a few billion more, if he could convince others to cut funding there.
