Bro, the okes at Martha's Vineyard literally deported them lmao
Pretty sure they’ve been moved to an appropriate shelter like every other asylum seeker. Venezuelan asylum seekers aren’t illegals under current law and can even fly into the country on expired passports.

And Bro, pretty sure too sanctuary city policies aren’t uniquely democrat - youre just stuck in your bubble.

Sanctuary City policies were actually initiated and championed by conservatives and Republicans like Reagan and Bush in the 80s back when they had some shred of decency and cared about actual outcomes for their constituents.

Correct and the irony is they’ve strayed so far from those values that don’t even realise it.

Trending on Twitter for the last two days, every large news paper going on about it, every popular democrat going on about.

This oke: "no bruh, it's not massive. But...racism."

Bro, the okes at Martha's Vineyard literally deported them lmao

Oh here's some food, now get the fck out.
Yep. Every sane person in the world is laughing at the hypocrisy, but sure lets pretend that it's "inhumane" or "racist" same old, same old.
Don't expect ostrich people to come out of their twitter bubbles

Massive difference between an illegal alien and a legitimate asylum seeker, which is why there has been a concerted effort to try and remove the usage of illegal aliens and conflating it with terms like refugee or migrant.
The issue wasn't decency of Republicans back then and supposed lack thereof today, but rather the Dems of today doing whatever they can to curry favour through empty virtue signaling by spending other peoples money.

Interesting. Where does Texas and Florida rank in terms of state tax collection per capita? Would you say that more blue states or red states are the biggest takers of federal spending?

Not really - every sane person understands what happens when politicians takes a bunch of people to somewhere ill-prepared to deal with them and without advanced notice.

Kinda like border states were forced to do. So I guess those places will just need to adapt.

Class. No counter? Surely if you have a positive balance of payments you shouldn’t be complaining about where the money is being spent if it’s with you ?!
I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt to know why I say that is a strawman. It's been argued so many times it's irrelevant at this point.
Although given how many companies are moving to Texas in recent years it will be interesting to see how the narrative around this changes.

I don’t understand. Are you not aware Texas received funding for this purpose? Many of those border towns also only exist because of the jobs related to that funding?

If it’s irrelevant to discuss tax contributions but not how it’s spent? Come now.

The funding is miniscule compared to the problems of illegals outnumbering the population of actual towns down there.
If they spend their funding tagging and shipping them to places like DC, Chicago, NY etc. then good for them. Spread the problem around. Given the over-reaction of those areas by the % influx compared to their population it's unfair to push all that burden on the Border states.
This is only for those illegals that were caught, no one has an idea of how many slipped through.

Yes since state industries and hence tax income differ. Which is why the electoral college should never be abolished.
The IT and service sector is vastly overpaid, but that is a world wide problem. A rural state will ALWAYS have a larger operational cost relative to it's income.

The onset of remote work will have a large impact in this regard going forward.

Think you should look at the number of facilities and shelters scattered throughout the US which these migrants are detained or given shelter. It’s already spread around.

Pretty sure the GOP loves the electoral college since they're net winners under it?

I'm not sure I get your point. As for tax contributions - surely if you're receiving more federal dollars than you give and then to argue about how it's spent is a little disingenuous as you're already spending everyone elses money?

Here's a thought for you. I'm going to dump 1000 migrants from Moz in your back yard, give you a R1000 a month, then you have to feed, shelter them, give them medical care or we'll come down on you ...

If you squeal too loudly, we might increase that to R5000. In the meantime your patio furniture is not safe, you might find the SAPS reaction unit visit at 2am in the morning and toss your place after one of the guests you're responsible for attacked the neighbour, one sold some drugs to a kid, while another killed the shop owner and stole their car ...

See where this is going?

Hey, presto, your life just turned to ****, but with me spending a R1000/R5000, I've kept a problem away from my yard. And just because I don't like you, I tell the Moz press what a lekka place Camp Quovadis is.

Yet you never asked for the squatters, but I suspect you already got all of the above.
