Good article overall, but this quote is quite endemic of the leftie mindset:

At a recent forum, she was asked to give her position on the “woke agenda.”
“I said, ‘I don’t know what the woke agenda is. But if you mean you love people, you take care of people, then I guess I’m woke,’ “ she said. “They had no use for me.”

You see, the problem with this answer is many: it not only suggests that somehow woke people have a monopoly on love and but also that non-woke people can't love others. Now that might not be the intention behind the answer, but it is this kind of stuff that really pisses people off. The whole superiority complex.

Fun fact that I learnt in the article: North Carolina is apparently the 2nd most rural state after Texas if measured by the number of people living in rural areas.

Yes, that same thing has happened on the leftist side of the news spectrum as well, I'm sure you've seen the videos where everyone is repeating in parrot fashion and in sync.
This is not a left right thing, it's a US media thing. It's what happens when a few big companies buy up all the small media houses in the US. They can dictate what is said.

It's why they lead you down the garden path of Democrat vs Republican year after year and leave out the actual truth, and year after year people fall for it.

Everyone gets so caught up in the media's soap opera lies that they are willing to believe anything and everything that their side puts out.

They're putting on a literal show for the public that almost everyone buys into.

The truth is the casualty of the Democrat vs Republican media (propaganda) war.

Different supposedly independent news stations all parroting the same exact phrases isn’t anywhere near the left.

But sure prove to me the left had 294 tv stations parrot the same phrases in the same time slot on the same day. I’ll wait.
