USA and Portugal Visa

Hi all. Has anyone had any experience with either applying for US visa or a Schengen through Portuguese embassy lately? How long was the wait between appointment and receiving visa? Need to apply for both before trip in early June but obviously only one passport is an issue.

For US it was almost two months to get appointment, managed to move it bit earlier (like 10 days).
Book early!

Sorry just to add, visa was approved within a day and passport collected from DHL after 4 days.

Portuguese embassy in Cape Town is utterly useless. I had to travel to Pta to get a visa and got it within an hour.
