Does anybody know when a USB adapter will be available for the Vodafone HSDPA cards? one that actually works.

We got one last week, it was a waste of time.
Typically I never read the manual before I installed everything, then when it would not work I saw the documentation said only "certain" PCMCIA cards will work with it.

I tried Huawei 3G cards, Huawei HSDPA cards, Novatel 630 3G cards and Option 700 3G cards. None of theses worked with the USB adapter although they worked in my notebook. I did download all the latest firmware and VMC software.

I would wait for the USB HSDPA modems to come out around August sometime, in the meanwhile use a USB cable on a 3G phone if you can. That USB adapter is not cheap either, R 1 000.00, the USB modems are going to come in around the same price as the Data Cards.

The Elan U111 only works with the Novatel U530/630 3G cards.

The new Elan U132 works with all the current cards EXCEPT:
- Option Nozomi HSDPA Card
- Novatel U530/U630 3G card

This according to our test lab.

Sorry, never revisited the page..
I think I had the ELAN U111 card, its all there was at the time. One thing to check is that you have USB 2.0 else you are not going to get anything to work.
