Can you please indicate when you will start to allow people to use the inclusive airtime amounts in the Mychoice and Mychoice Topup contracts to be used to purchase data bundles.

I see and successfully activated a databundle on my Topup 135 contract with Vodacom utilizing the accumulated R135 from the past few months.

MTN need to adapt or will loose out with customers now having more options with Vodacom. When can we also expect a pure 1GB bundle at less than R300 per month.

Now that is a GREAT idea! I never use much of my off-peak minutes, and to convert it into a data bundle will add more value to my contract :)

The idea is to use the monetary amounts in the Mychoice contracts, R75 or R105 etc for data bundles.

the kind ID10T's at the MTN call centre said you cant load bundles on prepaid. So I got a topup R75 contract ... another victory for MTN!

But I figured its not that bad, I let my monthly R75 carry over and heap up, and then one day I'll use that sim in a cellphone and have lots of pay as you go airtime. That makes the HSDPA card basically free.

I think that is grounds for having the contract cancelled, but at least that's covering the cost of your data card?

I believe the minutes only carry over for one month, so the most you'll ever have on that card is R150, R75 from the current month and R75 from the previous month.

I got an E220 with my top up 75. At R2/MB I only get 37.5MB out of the included airtime:( . If I could use the airtime for a bundle, I could get a 100MB for R80 :)

Any answer on when MTN will start to allow the use of inclusive amounts for data bundles?

On top up contracts you carry forward money not minutes and it doesn't expire. I currently have over R500 credit accumulated over the last few months on MyChoice R75.

using the MyChoice munny to buy a data bundle wud be nice, but then the bundle wud only last a month, whereas the MyChoice munny gets carried over if u don't use it.... but then it does work out to R2Mb... suppose that's the cost of having carry over and not losing it come monthend, get scrued either way :) , what we need is carryover bundles :p

Also went for this intending to convert the R75pm to data bundles. For now am using VM at flat rate, and find I can connect to Voda 3G using the VM sim, so not much incentive pay to R2/MB with the included R75. Come-on MTN, trump voda and announce a really decent flat rate.

Yes, get 3G and HSPDA speeds - simply set to 3G only in the e220 software, and manually select network, reconnect the card and you are away.

I got a MyChoice 150 and only get 75MB @R2/MB. One of the reasons ive moved to VC. Cheaper bundles and now instead of having just R150 airtime to talk with (got 2x mychoice 150), now i have R300. All in all i i would save roughly R100/month when using VC sim and geting 575MB more (also had a 350MB bundle which is cancelled now)

Now all i gotta do is wait to see what the issue with 3G in my area on the VC network and i wont have to use my MTN sim ne more.

I have a mychoice 75 topup with my datacard and 1gb data included , how do i check my airtime balance from the card ?
Can I dial from the dashboard or do I have to remove my simcard and stick it in phone and dial a number.
