Here's the Epyx website:

Check these guys out. Brilliant idea if you ask me. The website is very slow and I didn't get a chance to read through every page, but from what I understood this is how it works:
You need to buy an extra cellphone. One of the two cellphones must be bluetooth enabled. The Bluetooth enabled phone (cellphone B) is permanently connected to your bluetooth PC, while the other cellphone (cellphone A) is used to call cellphone B. When you call cellphone B, the call is automatically picked up and the Epyx software interfaces between cellphone B and Skype.
According to their site, EpyxMobile is their entry level package which allows you to make calls to Skype users and make SkypeOut calls, at no extra charge (other than the cost of the call from MTN, Vodacom, CellC and the SkypeOut rates). Check out their website for the other packages.
I hope CellC doesn't decide to remove that option of selecting a "family" or "friend" number for discounted call rates.
