Hi,

I have tried to read all the posts on this subject but now are more confused.

I have a local network IP 172.16.0.1- to whatever

On this network i have my computer (172.16.0.1) that i would like to use my uncapped ADSL acc. The rest of the computers on the network must use my normal 3 gig acc. I have a Netgear DG 834 modem/router and 1 incoming ADSL line. How do i do this ? Or is there no way ?

Regards

Gerrit

I do not know the DG834 but if it supports concurrent bridge and route mode connections it should work.
Let the DG834 connect directly to your normal 3 gig acc and dial up from your computer(172.16.0.1). However if your account is uncapped why not let all computers just use that account and cancel the 3g account?

Ja, I dont understand?

Why pay for another account, the speed is dicated by your line that comes into your house, not the account you use btw, so if you max out your line then the other PC's wont have any more bandwidth (speed) if they use a different line.

Unless you have one of the slowed down IS uncapped accounts and want the rest of the PC's to have full speed, then I would understand.

No i am one of the "Lucky" ones to have a uncapped UUNET Acc, it works fine for what i use it ;-) but for normal browsing and email retrieval it is a waste of time

Regards

Gerrit
