Using a Tennis Court (Southern Suburbs, CT)

Hi, does anyone know the procedure for using or "hiring" a Tennis court at a local club, since it is out of season, I think non members should be able to use them once in a while? - Reason I ask is because there are multiple clubs nearby and I just want to test the water, as in knowing if there is a general practise to using one as opposed to just rocking up there and playing.

Would like to play a couple of games with a friend.

No idea for your area.
I know my parents area the rule was that if neither of you are a member and the courts fill up you gotta leave but other than that it was free for all.
Got told to leave a court several times then paid membership of something like R30 for a year.
