Using Huawei E220 to Dial Telkom Line

Hi,

I have been trying to use my E220 as a normal modem to connect/dial a Telkom number. The PC Im trying to dial into has PC Anywhere installed, no ADSL or other Broadband connection at the moment.

The idea is that even if Im in he field I can still use my E220 to dial into Telkom supported PC Anywhere sites.

Does anyone have experience with this?

When I do try connect using PC Anywhere it comes back with an error that it cannot find a dial tone. The modem to use on this dial-out rule is the E220.

Rather try using remote desktop connection, if you have a fixed ip else it will be a problem with pc anywhere asswell.
