Hi
I am an expatriate South African and enjoy watching SA content via Kuduclub.
I have bought a D-link wireless media player in order to get the media content onto my TV without having to use an S-video cable from my computer.
This wireless mediaplayer, however doesn't support the Kuduclub download format of ".wmv".
I have tried varios videoconverter programmes - but no success. I am trying to convert the .wmv files to .avi files.
Does anyone have any answers?
These conversion programmes seem not able to convert these files. Could it be that Kuduclub or MNet is blocking the conversion.
Please help
Thanx

I'm assuming that your D-Link media player supports UPnP. Then you can try the TVersity Media Server, http://www.tversity.com/ . The software is free and transcodes and streams .wmv on the fly. It also supports a whole host of other formats. I've got a Philips Streamium SL400i and use tversity instead of the Philips media software. Hope this solution works for you.

i think it may be that kuduclub wmv's are drm protected, in which case any and all avi converting software should fail.

Werner is correct if the .wmv is DRM protected, then tversity does not support this.
