Hi, i just wanna ask for the adsl users using UUnet accounts, how are the speeds browsing the internet and how are http download and torrent downloads?

Thanks :D

O and another question,

Will it work on a 1024k adsl line
so lets say torrents go at 50kb/s on 512k line, will it go 100kb/s on a 1024k line?

UUNet 1024

about the 1024K, it will work

if you choose to go for uncapped adsl, you will have to choose between a 512 and a 1024 account

price from 512 to 1024 will be doubled

Am I reading it right - Uncapped Business ADSL - R 1650-00? Is this the UUNet offering?

That looks like 512K IS offering, if its the UUNET offering, its a ripoff of note. These UUNET accounts went wholesale for freaken R600 odd

BTech - Currently price-wise, Uncapped is expensive.

If you want uncapped for p2p/any traffic, then it will have to be the IS uncapped solution with 12month contract + 5 static ips etc etc. However, at times this is very slow.

If you want uncapped, but p2p is not important, we offer the cheapest IS non-contract, non-p2p, uncapped solution from 192k-1Mbit. Its much cheaper and much more reliable than the IS uncapped 12 month contract solution.

On the other hand, if you can get your hands on a UUNET account, it may be well worth it for you, if priced right.

Is this available for private home users, how much $ and how slow?

yes its available for home users, its expensive.. depending where you buy, R1500-1800 a month for the 512k(excludes adsl line rental) and for the 1Mbit the price is double.

Slow means at times it goes at dialup 56k speed, no idea what IS did to the package over the last couple of months, probably oversold the service.
