The Turkistan Islamic Party says its main mission to ‘liberate the Muslims of East Turkistan from the Chinese occupation’

A Uyghur militant group that helped to topple Bashar-al Assad has vowed to take the fight to China.

The Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) threatened Beijing in a video released on Dec 8, the day the Syrian regime collapsed, showing its fighters holding machine guns and wearing military fatigues.

“Now here in Syria, in all the cities here, we fight for Allah, and we will continue to do this in our Urumchi, Aqsu and Kashgar in the future,” said one masked man, listing cities in China’s Xinjiang region, from where the Uyghurs hail. “We will chase the Chinese infidels away.”

Yeah don't think Allah is on your side with this one mate.

Might as well hope there's enough virgins to go around for your inevitable martydom

Ask me 5 years ago, I would have said Russia was this immortal army, an unstoppable force. When they crossed the Ukraine border I was 100% convinced it would be over in a week.

Well, we've seen how that one played out as they surrounded Kiev and literally ran out of food and ammunition, then turned tail and fled Eastward. Perhaps China is another bluff we've been sold on.

Yep. Judging by those extravagant parades, you'd swear they're that organised. I actually enjoyed watching them.

Guerrilla warfare tactics can be effective when faced with a bigger, well equipped adversary.
I would agree if the battle is in a different field and not in the opponent's backyard.

Not the way the Chinese fight. It worked against the British who lined up and you could shoot them. But the Chinese fight a very Guerilla tactics warfare themself. Only difference is, they can simply march in millions and eliminate the entire population without a worry.

And dont forget, the Chinese sees religion as poison. More than half their population are atheists. Then the next is folk religions and finally buddism.

You reckon the gas pipelines and UHV network are that heavily guarded? The Uyghur fighters knew very well they can't face China directly. Even the US would think twice before they do.

The British and pretty much every western force don't fight like that anymore.

If you have local population alive, I'm afraid they will flatten everything. Not much human rights there.
Granted, but I think they'd look into sabotage activities than face the military directly?

Thing is Russians tend to run away, however not so much the Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese.

China has been successful in most of their wars. Took some islands from Taiwan, took some islands from Vietnam, and now have taken a few more from the Phillipines.

Alas the Soviet Union. Most of Russia dont want the war, but they have a dictator on top wanting it. And thats where the problem lies.

The Chinese wouldve never made the mistake the Russians did. Putin had Europe cozying upto him, buying gas and oil from him. Even taking his side in the UN, and then he attacked them. He didnt need to. He couldve been far wealthier if he just kept up with it.

The Chinese is doing just that. Nope we dont want to be in a war, we will just peacefully bully our way into control.
