I can believe this as there is no sign of such things as burnt tyres on the Zim roads (maybe the brutality of the ZANU PF has something to do with it) I went on but each town, suburb and dorp I passed through in SA recently has at least one road where the telltale circles and wire etc of burnt tyres were evident. Oh well. The concept of burning things is apparently unique to SA. And it has its roots in the 1970s ANC. I was told by people from Zim that the lot in SA are the only ones who do the burning thing.
