This is a 12 month contract position based in Pretoria.
Between R200 and R250 per hour depending on experience.
The main purpose of this role is to effectively and efficiently plan, lead, organise, oversee and review the functioning and overall operations of personnel and activities in the section in order to ensure the stable operation and use of the Server and Storage Infrastructure.

Server and operating systems consist of, but is not limited to, the following:
- Hardware platform, consisting of state-of-the-art technologies such as blade servers and SAN storage technology
- Clustering and virtualization of servers to provide high availability and consolidation of resources
- Operating systems of the servers, High Performance Cluster and Midrange Servers are Microsoft Server, Linux and Unix.
- Automated monitoring systems e.g. SCOM, Zabbix, Nagios, etc
- Antivirus and other security measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment
- Backup of systems and data in collaboration with the Datacenter Facilities and Operations section
- Disaster Recovery platforms and systems
- Business Continuity processes.
