Why do you [and unspecified others] want a vaccine to fail?
Yes. It is called bringing people back to reality. Balancing the universe.
This vaccine was never tested properly before use, based on an already failed development, already shown to be unsafe, and it needed someone to have the guts to bring it down.
It also helps to restore faith in our regulator. We can now say that SAHPRA is not just a rubber stamp.

Your phrase was "we need A vaccine to fail."

Even during polio, when there was an extreme mess up with a batch of vaccines, the majority of the vaccines were working correctly.

We are talking about "bringing people back to reality" when the basis for people NOT to take the vaccine is based on extreme psychosis, delusion and fantasy

The antivaxx stance isn't pathetic because they don't want to take a vaccine, it is pathetic because they will believe in science far more advanced than a simple vaccine, like New World Governments, tiny tracking microchips, DNA changers, etc.

All carefully arranged. And funny how one lot of pills expired in 2019 and another lot you can see were prescribed on 15 December. If she’s lying about the meds, what else is she lying about?

Also strange that she is complaining about a heavy and prolonged menstrual cycle which just so happens to be a side-effect of prednisone (which is the medication that expired in 2019) following long term use.

I tend to agree that the antivaxx stance is pathetic...in so much as it relates to tried and tested vaccines that have shown their effecacy for decades.

What does not make sense is trying to put all of those who are hesitant to take this particular set of vaccines on the same level as the tin-foil hat brigade. There are shades of grey here.

The lines are being blurred because the arguments are either mandatory vaccines or vaccines are the worst things possible.

There is a lot of resistance to making vaccines mandatory - but there is also resistance to censoring the people spreading misinformation who make people want to not get vaccines in the first place.

As censorship isn't the way to go, perhaps having mandatory vaccines(at least from a capitalist perspective limiting access) will encourage people to investigate the topic a bit more thoroughly before they commit to never going to a restaurant again.

Vaccines as a general method is tried and tested. But this does NOT translate into enough to back the vaccines rushed through the process for Covid 19. We have two examples now. The AZ which was not deployed in SA, with questions now arising about its effectiveness where it was used elsewhere, and the Russian stuff, which was deployed before testing was completed.
Next on the list is the Chinese stuff.
That is at the heart of the technical debate. But none of that is relevant to the huge cultural and religious issues behind this in SA.
The ANC spent decades fueling the cultural fires against the West. Now they want the population to believe them about the vaccines!
Ja sure. The ANC is picking the sour apples it carefully cultivated. Justice prevails.

Hypocrisy at it's best...

On SAHPRA, you were vehemently attacking it in February because they wanted more studies around IVM and didn't approve it immediately. Now you're in absolute awe that they're doing their job...again!...by not approving this vaccine. How often do you hop over the fence onto the other side?

You see, I don't believe that for one second.

The arguments I've heard from people irl, not on forums/comments sections, is mostly pro-choice or hesitancy on basis of rational arguments.

This is why I cringe when each side is reduced to the lowest common denominator or using extreme examples to tar and feather the rest.

Dude SAHPRA are advisors to the department of health they don't work for the ANC.

Also they not allowing sub-standard products to entire the country, so they doing their job. The russian vaccine works the side effect in question is increasing susceptibility to HIV infections. Thats a big problem when roughly a fifth of the population has HIV.

SAHPRA is also funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and they are just helping the world right, so nobody would question their motives.

1. SAHPRA are not "advisors" to the Department of Health - they are an independent regulatory body created by an Act of Parliament whose "parent" government department is the DoH.
2. No one said they "work for the ANC".

Learn to read and comprehend.
\edit added the word "indepedent"

SAHPRA is also essentially South Africa's FDA, which regulates all medicines and what we are allowed to be prescribed and treat ourselves with legally. They decide what drugs you can take to treat Covid-19.

SAHPRA's latest bribe, sorry "donation" from Bill Gates was R7.5 Million agreed on just last month.

Is required reading for you, to help you get your facts right.

And very interesting. But notice what that "grant" is specifically for ----- Wonder how that got past the PFMA regulations. Looking forward to the parliamentary debate which will inevitably happen at some time.

And what do the words "regulatory body" mean to you?

Geoffy has an issue with SAHPRA. They were apparently not trawling the forums in February when he was attacking them for not simply approving IVM for use with Covid patients. Apparently they should have been following him for all the expert advice they needed.
SAHPRA did their job again and blocked the Sputnik V vaccine, and suddenly they're the greatest thing since sliced cheese for him.
