what he gave you then ?

I dont know why the Dr sent you to an ENT for covid they just wasted your money IMO. Covid takes slightly longer to manifest its symptoms maybe a day or two longer than flu
Because when I got Covid it wasn’t even a thing. This was late November/Early December 2019 when I returned from Barcelona.

Where should the doctor have sent me for unexplained Ageusia? To a cardiologist? Neurologist? Or to you?

You like criticising other medical practitioners decisions but you want to make diagnosis on a forum. I’m starting to have doubts whether you’re even a pharmacist.

I’ve already said I do not know what antiviral was prescribed. It shouldn’t be too hard to find out though.

Media Says Rise In Soccer Players Suddenly Collapsing Is Just A "Coincidence"

The media has responded to the recent spate of high profile football players suddenly collapsing with heart problems in the middle of games by concluding that it is just a “coincidence.”

Yes, really.

Over recent weeks and months, innumerable soccer stars, as well as other athletes, have mysteriously suffered the imminent onset of serious heart problems.

This prompted German newspaper Berliner Zeitung to publish a report seeking to answer why an “unusually large number of professional and amateur soccer players have collapsed recently.”

Last week, two more examples were added to the list when Sheffield United’s John Fleck collapsed and Sherrif Tiraspol winger Adama Traore went down near the end of a Champions League game against Real Madrid.

According to a report by Dr. Yaffa Shir-Raz, there has been a “5-fold increase in sudden cardiac deaths of FIFA players in 2021.”

However, according to a Daily Mail investigation, “‘It’s terrifying but it’s a COINCIDENCE” and there is not need for “panic.”

The report claims that, “A spate of high-profile heart problems and collapses among professional footballers in recent weeks are likely to be coincidence, rather than an indication players are struggling to cope with the high-intensity game, according to a leading cardiologist.”

Well, that settles that then. Case closed.

The entire report completely fails to even mention the prospect that negative vaccine reactions could have anything to do with what is happening, despite it being admitted that myocarditis is a vaccine side-effect in “rare” cases.

However, as Chris Menahan notes, the comment section is bursting with people making that very suggestion.

Is it any wonder why most websites are doing away with comment sections altogether?

As we previously highlighted, when one ex-pro dared to suggest a connection to vaccines during a live radio broadcast, he was censored in real time.

How many of the players that collapsed were vaccinated?

High profile ones like Erikson were unvaccinated. Aguero had covid earlier in the year and was unvaxxed. And has had heart problems before.

Not sure. But a 5-fold increase in sudden cardiac deaths in 2021... 5-fold, just at the time when vaccines are introduced......

It's almost like there was something happening BEFORE the vaccines came along ... what was it .... something big ... something that caused vaccines to be created in the first place... I can't put my finger on it ....

2021 is the year vaccines were at their highest.

And covid is still rampant and a thing. We can link any coincidences to the things that have been happening lately - maybe it's lockdown that is killing people instead of vaccines?

You are correct. In your life time you will see multiple doctors from GPs to specialists to surgeons. A pharmacist that knows you personally will be able to detect issues from multiple prescriptions easily. Most patients dont report back to their GP (some do) hence the pharmacy becomes a safe guard for you. Make no mistake diagnostics is not my forte I will never interfere with a Dr's diagnosis. However I have managed patients from all fields of medicine from general to specialty I can instantly detect which protocol is currently in use and optimal because I see prescriptions from MANY Drs and build on a collective experience.

Do you know how many patients I have saved from Drs errors? The patient will never know I make a phone call in the back and its sorted. In an average day I detect about 4 errors. These errors come about many ways sometimes the Dr forgets or they patient doesnt tell the Dr which medicines another Dr has them on or even basic prescribing habits. The list goes on.

If you follow the referral pathway properly like a good patient you probably wont have many issues with the chains. The problem is people dont do that because of cost. They will still go fill out multiple scripts from multiple doctors where duplication can occur.

You will never know how many times a pharmacist has saved you while you an inpatient being seeing to by many Drs. You'd also be surprised its the specialists you have to watch out for when they start prescribing outside their field.
I've seen the same thing - specifically with my mother.
There was a point in time she was in isolation for 4 months as a result of a surgical infection (thanks Chris Barnard hospital).

There were 6 specialists involved.
Nurses would medicate, either orally or via IV line.
I took a look at her file one morning to discover her cardiologist and vascular surgeon were prescribing conflicting medication simultaneously.
Nephrologist and plastic surgeon also had conflicting medication - but not as severe as the cardiologist and vascular surgeon.
It became apparent they were fixated with their own field and were not paying much attention to each other's notes.

The same happened after discharge - her pharmacist picked this up and called the relevant doc's to have them make up their minds as to what she should be taking.

Pretty alarming!

In over 80 of the cases, such as football stars Sergio Aguero and Christian Eriksen, the athletes collapsed while playing, racing or training, or immediately after.
But don't you find the article a little bit suspicious when it highlights Aguero and Ericksen, when they had covid/and or were unvaccinated.

Sure, but the 5 fold increase that just happens to coincide with the year vaccines are introduced can't be ruled out either. You can't just say it is a coincidence. Sure those two are ruled out but that doesn't explain the rest.

There does seem to be an upswing relatively, but it's mostly the younger ones that likely got sick early on as they're the last to be vaccinated in most places and covid's known to damage the vascular system

It also happens to be in the year of a global pandemic with side affects affecting the heart. Foorballers in lockdown for months. Then suddenly being made to play 3 matches a week. Last season they hectically compressed the schedule played a full season in basically half the time, then had the Euros after that. Some players had no rest

Just subtract the worst annual average from the numbers recorded and then see if these guys will continue to claim it is just a coincidence. so that means 183 - 10 = 173 "excess collapses" on the field, which are somehow linked to this epidemic.

How do you know the vaccination status of these individuals?
It's been widely reported.

Aguero had covid once and was in isolation for it again

You complain about anecdotal evidence and then you come up with this gem.

I had Covid and I ran between 5 - 12km on most days. I still haven't dropped dead... How's that for anecdotal?
