Does the Vatican have a point, or should people be allowed to choose deadly sports?

Vatican tears into Dakar Rally death toll
The Vatican has decried the death on Tuesday of South African motorcyclist Elmer Symons in the Dakar rally, the latest of many associated with what it called "a bloody, irresponsible race".

So, GavinMannion, looks like you and the Pope agree on something after all. :D

WTF has the race got to do with the Vatican ?

They need to keep their eye on the Catholics molesting young boys and stay away from the Dakar

Was yesterday at one of the racers' house - his wife was sad he had mechanical problems, but glad he's alive and well... they really looked forward to this rally...

...and is not looking forward to the logistical nightmare of plane tickets, air transport and all those fun things...

And in related news. The islamic high clerics of Durkadurkastan have complained about the poor service at Big Freds Pork Rib franchise.

Sorry about the lad getting killed, but you know the old saying, "live by the sword, die by the sword". Steve Erwin would understand this.

Would it be immoral to hump a dead camel?

Can only imagine they are complaining about people being irresponsible, exposing themselves to unnecessary dangers that could cost them their lives...

But in the same breath they bless soldiers as they go to war...

Self absorbed hypocrites

OK WAIT...
I'm not a Christian and do not know much about the Vatican or Christianity...
But I would like to know what connection the Vatican have with Elmer Symons or the Dakar Rally?
