That's right. Received my bill today together with a letter stating that VC will be dropping their OUTOFBUNDLE rate to R1.50/MB as of 1 November. Not a revolution if you ask me but a sign that the pressure is getting to "them".
Infact I think my September OUTOFBUNDLE usage was already calculated at R1.50/MB. I went over by 170MB last month and according to my bill I am only charged an extra R256 including VAT. :D Now that's groovy if it's a mistake and V3G, dont ask me for my details.

Details, details, where are the details??? :p

@v3g, does R1.50MB apply to all customers [IOW pre-paid as well as post-paid] using data out of bundle, or only to post-paid customers?

I don't need to ask your details! Remember, Skeptik already determined I can track you through your posts. For example, did you know you have a slightly ingrown toenail? Just one of the little things we track via your postings here!

Yes, there are some price reductions coming. Were actually supposed to be Sky's Xmas present, but it's been brought forward.

I'll dig up the complete story (have the new tariffs stored somewhere) and post in a while.

Don't take this as gospel, will confirm tomorrow:

- Contract Only

< 250Mb bundles - OOB = R2.00
250MB & 500MB - OOB = R1.50
> 500MB - OOB = R1.20

Oh boy more confusion.

Different rates per access speed, now different rates depending on the size of your "bundle".

Well I'm glad you finally revealed your sense of humour, even if it is based on something I never said.
Tell me, is your home language English :D

Vodacom copying MTN

- Contract Only

< 250Mb bundles - OOB = R2.00
250MB & 500MB - OOB = R1.50
> 500MB - OOB = R1.20
Is Vodacom now starting to copycat MTN? MTN first with ppdbs and now with lower after bundle rates. Come to think of it, what has Vodacom done lately that is original? And finding a girlfriend for Mo does not count and neither does schemes to get more money from people. R1.20 over 50c and forcing myself to use at least 500MB... nice try Voda, but it's either 50c with NO LOCK-IN or NO DEAL. :D

Seems Vodacom does not take Virgin seriously even with ten 10% of their data user base. Notice how close to 10 November this came about after it was planned for December.

Point taken but at least it is a step in the right direction :D

Yes, a baby step. Unfortunately it is of literally zero value to prepaid subscribers or ad-hoc bundle users. Vodacom seems very adamant that they don't have to compete against Virgin. What arrogance.

Still to expensive by R1.10 At 50c I might consider it ...... at 40c I would have the Meercat' babies.
