VDSL v. Dish

I'm wondering whether I should go back to Wish satellite service or switch from my present Afrihost wireless router (not working well for my household) that is NOT uncapped (not available) to VDSL. Unfortunately, fibre is not yet available in my area. What can I expect from VDSL? Should I go back to satellite?
