WhereRenewed mine this morning at the post office. Was number 3 in the queue and only 1 other person behind me.
Sure there’s a lot wrong going on in the country but let’s not turn ourselves into a nation of moaners
Did mine via e-service again.
Applied on the 1st Dec.
Got the email with how much to pay into what account on the 19th.
Made payment via internet banking.
Got new disc on the 4th Jan.

how wrong i was.
is there a faster way for capetonians?
You normally wait about 2 -3 weeks for them to post it to you. Remember, we dealing with SAPO here.I did the very same over a month ago via eservices
I'm still waiting for my new disc.
So far so good, it's been printed and courier will collect for delivery nextI did my vehicle license yesterday through FNB so will see how long it takes. R199 "convenience fee" and gets couriered.

I used it for the first time last year when the initial lock-down started. The first application went nowhere, but when I did it a second time I received payment details very quickly. Then it was about a two week wait for them to post it to you. Once you've made the payment you can then use that as proof of validity. We did this while waiting for the license disc to be posted, although we didn't need to resort to using the POP.
What's the turnaround time like?I did mine on Paycity, worked very well. I'm not going to stand in a queue.
Where do they say that the PoP can be used as proof of validity?Try the CT e-Services portal https://eservices.capetown.gov.za/irj/portal.

They don't, as such. I really don't think that a court or traffic officer is going to argue that you don't have sufficient evidence to prove you have already paid the license and that you're waiting on actual disc to be sent to you.Where do they say that the PoP can be used as proof of validity?
Thanks, they only sent the payment ref details last week, finally after 6 weeks! I'll EFT them tomorrow but then they warn it may take 30 working days for the new disc to arrive. My disc expired on 31 Jan, so after the 22 days grace period I'll have to be careful where I park my car, or start driving my old man's car instead! They don't, as such. Which post office was that? The ones around here only accept cash.Downloaded my trailers form from enatis on Friday and printed it, stood in queue of 5 people Saturday morning at the local Post Office and renewed it (paying by card) for the amount as shown on the notification.
Mmm, I registered but there is no information on the vehicles that I own, and both license disks have expired :-(Garsfontein Post Office
It will show you all that is expiring within to months or less. If I remember correctly it says it will send OTP via SMS but it comes via e-mail.
