Vehicle License Renewal

I did not receive notification VIA post that my license on my motorbike is going to expire, so I dont have that form that I need to submit for my new license. Can I download a new form online and use that to renew the license? I found this form online but not sure if it's the correct one:

Cant you just go into the [-]post office[/-] Traffic Dept and fill out that blue(?) form?

Blue? I thought it was green. Yeah - last year I never received the renewal notification and went to the Randburg rates hall. You get the form, fill in the vehcile registration number and stand in a queue for about 15 minutes, pay money, get licence and go.

We have guys here at our company that does it for us, so I just want to download the form and give it to them with the money. Whats the renewal registration fee? without penalties

If you using that form then you also need to send a copy of your ID. The fee's differ based on what vehicle it is.

Apparently they are/have stopped sending those out now - but you can just go direct to the centre... what a waste. In other countries, you can just renew and pay on the internet. Disk comes the next day in the post.

You can do it at post offices in Gauteng too. They had a story about it in the newspapers.

I believe you need to send a signed letter authorising the person to purchase the new license on your behalf, with a copy of your ID.

I've just gone to the Post Office in PE without the renewal form and purchased a new license.

How late are you with this renewal?
After a certain grace period you pay a penalty, and if you go beyond that you need to take it for the roadworthy test again.
