Hello,

I am not happy with my current host and have a couple hundred domains under my belt and am considering moving my clients over to vehost.co.za but before I do, I would like to get the communities opinion on vehost.

They seem to respond quickly to live chat and they seem to offer VERY good packages but support and stability is what I am after.

Most companies are very stingy with storage and with IMAP being such a PITA these days gobbling up space, as a reseller, we need enough storage to cater for this conundrum.

VEHost seems to be that provider for me as domains.co.za are excellent with their support and stability but offer VERY small reseller packages for my needs.

So what is the consensus n vehost?

So looks like vehost is not as widely known as I was hoping. I will consider domains.co.za then.

Hi @Wolvyreen,

Thanks for considering us.

We can for sure help you with your hosting needs.

Could you please send an email to [email protected] and ask that Gideon call you back?

Give AbsoluteHosting a look, been using them a while now.
Quite impressed!
Thank you Chris

Based on the OP’s number of domains I would suggest a VPS server.

Presuming that he has hundreds of clients then a VPS will provide best experience for his clients.

For all other resellers, we’ve just completed our onboarding with WHMCS as an official reseller and will be able to offer WHMCS licenses from our store to ZA based whmcs owners.

One advantage is a lower cost and smaller package not available directly from WHMCS which is great for startups who cannot warrant the current R460 monthly entry fee for a license.

We’ll post more details as soon as WHMCS licenses are available to order from our store.

I'm always baffled why people suggest VPS servers just because they see the number of domains.

Large Reseller accounts at the majority of hosts that are on offer anywhere are inherently set up to have nothing less than 100 cpanel accounts.

Therefore, having 3 reseller accounts to cater for 300 cpanel accounts is absolutely normal. There is no need for a VPS.

A LOT of resellers, I'm not saying all, start their businesses having multiple reseller accounts and then later move on to their own hardware or infrastructure but only when the numbers are significantly higher.

In fact, I would say that having 3 reseller accounts on 3 separate servers actually offers better uptime to all the clients because if you have 1 single VPS Server, and that server goes offline, for any reason, all your clients are offline.

Having 3 separate reseller accounts mitigates that.

Their service is terrible don't even think about it. They also steal money by charging you for a service you have cancelled. They are very u professional.

vehost sucks. i've used them before and their service is terrible but what made me cancel and put them on my **** list was their arrogant support

Hi Joan,

We have responded to your ticket, and the attached document provides a full explanation of the situation.

In our previous response, we outlined how to cancel the package through your portal. Once cancelled, the system would automatically terminate the package. However, our logs indicate that the cancellation has not been completed, which resulted in the additional billing.

As mentioned earlier, we have already refunded your invoices without any issue.

Please refer to the attached file for further details.

Good day,

Could you please share your domain name so I can give you a call to hear what happened here, cause this does not sound right at all.

We would like to ensure this gets dealt with.

Kind regards
VE Host

I had cancelled and I indicated that to you and it was right at the beginning of the month as well and it's a prepaid service, you should have just refunded my money, I had already gone for a month without paying because I had cancelled then you deducted money on the second month. I still want that refund and I will be launching a case against you.

Hi Joan,

Could you kindly provide the ticket number where you mentioned your request to cancel the service? I’ve reviewed all your tickets but couldn’t find any indication of such a request.

As previously mentioned, the correct method to cancel a product is by logging into your portal, selecting the service, and clicking "Request Cancellation." According to our logs, this process hasn't been followed, nor have we received a cancellation request via ticket.

Kind regards,
Gideon

and clicking "Request Cancellation.

SA yoh...

I don't request cancellation...i cancel. In all my overseas hosting, there is just a "CANCEL" button.

I utilize HostAfrica VPS, their interface also has a 'Request Cancellation' button, but has further options relating to the cancel button.
I see that as reasonable, as it offers me the option to do it immediately vs End of Billing period (monthly agreement) - it also offers them the opportunity to gather why you are cancelling
