Very sad, but atleast it did not break in two.

This is really sad - so be warned.

Shortly after being dropped off at work a fireman and his partner was sent out to a crash scene. They were first to arrive on the scene of an accident where a cash in transit van skipped a red light at speed and crashed into a Corsa bakkie, dragging it for 200m.

Sadly the bakkie was driven by the firemans wife and she was on her way back after dropping him off at the station.

The only good news is that she did not take the kids with as she usually does and the Corsa bakkie did not break in two.

is she ok?

Mev.

Fk me, it would have been sad if she died  I would lose it if I was called to an accident scene and my wife is there after just dropping me off and she's in parts.

/prayers to her and the family

She passed away, you missed this part:

Mev.

Sad to hear that.

Driver skipped a red light, eh?

Next time I'm at an intersection, I'll wait a few seconds and make sure it's safe to drive off when the light goes green for me.

Too many people skipping red lights and making U-turns it's not funny anymore, it's downright scary.

Yes, are you trying to agree with me that it was a far distance to push/drag another vehicle?

200m is a very long distance to drag a ton of steel.

Our prayers go out to the Harper family

Sad indeed. Whatever happened to the implementation of stricter traffic laws? They really are needed.
