Victoria falls trip - way to expensive

I just got a quote from a travel company - 17000 Rands - 3 nights - for 2 @zambezi sun, package tour including air ticket, accommodation, airport transfers etc..

Golly!

Has anybody been to Vic falls lately, what are other cheaper options?

Jeepers, that's expensive!

Problem with these tours is they are converted from USD, that's why they're so expensive. And because it's tourism, they charge you in USD there because it's more valuable than local currency!

are you going to the Zambian side of the Falls? Cause thats why its so expensive. Rather go to the ZIm side its a lot cheaper. Although you'll still be paying for any activities in $ though....... My boss and some friends went there in August and they enjoyed it.

There are regular specials on Vic Falls trips. Look out for them in the paper.

Vic Falls is nice for a 2/3 day break, well worth it!

At those prices it's amazing anyone bothers going to the Zambian side. It'll be interesting to see how Zim compares, but personally I'd have a problem supporting the Zim Government with tourism money.
