Has anyone made a successful video call on the MTN network using their Samsung BlackJack? I cannot make, nor receive video calls. I was told that if both parties had 3G reception, you would be able to make video calls. When I try, I just get a few beeps in my ear and my phone switches back to the contact entry. When someone else tries to dial me, they get a message that the remote party cannot accept video calls. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. After all, this was the single most anticipated functionality for years, and I want in. Thanks.

Thanks Gunman. When I send the Activate Video Calling option, I just get a 'Failed' response. Any ideas?

For those that have the same issue. Here's an update.

I called 808 and spoke to Favorite. According to her, she had to first enable the facility and then in two hours time I should follow the process of dialing *123# again, of course. Buy a phone with video calling, enable 3G, enable the video calling 'facility' by calling 808, then enable it by calling *123#. Makes perfect sense. Will see what happens. Imagine this was the process before you could make normal calls. No more cellphone interruptions at the cinema.

Is it sorted now?:)

I'd rather not go into detail exactly how many more calls it took, and how many different variants of instructions and explanation I got from MTN. I'd rather just post the solution. If you are trying to set up video calling, confirm that the service is enabled on your contract before you try and configure your phone. (When I say confirm, I mean confirm - I was told on three occasions that the service has now been loaded and that I should be on shortly, which was not the case) After you are 100% sure that the facility has been enabled, go ahead and try to make a video call. If you receive an error, dial *123*15# and you should receive the necessary settings.
