Video game endings that let us down

I don't really get let down by video game endings, because I don't expect much from their stories. If a game sticks the landing it's great and all but I mean, whatever.
I would argue that it's even more important than movies endings. A movie is a 2 hour investment, whereas games can be 40+ hours...

Yeah but to me it's all about the journey and the gameplay. I never played Mario Bros so I could see a sprite animation of Mario and Peach holding hands

Tell me about it... Middle-Earth: Shadow of War has one of the most pointless, tedious end acts I've ever seen. Just awful.

I've just acquired the trilogy. You're telling to me to stop before I start?

Okay so it goes like this
Mass Effect 1: Great lore, great story, combat and controls are meeeh.
Mass Effect 2: Continues the lore, story is a bit so so, combat and controls are improved, Miranda oh my for a CG model that ass
Mass Effect 3: Great start, almost explosive, combat and controls are tight, story starts off great as it's continuing onwards, right up till the end the game is gripping you, your actions from the previous two really do feel like they've carried over. Then the end which is like WTF!! Even with the DLC it's still a bit WTF!!!
Overall the series is fantastic though, just also remember 1 is now 10 years old so it might've not aged that well, especially if you're playing on console, I played the first 2 on PC and finished it twice, then I finished the entire series on the Xbox and the graphics were a little bit downgraded on the console.
Back OT:
Crysis definitely was a bad ending.
Fallout 4: So you come into the world, you make these massive changes and bam four generic endings, nothing about what you've done or seen, just okay so you chose the generic bad guys here's the ending etc.
SP Stick of Truth: You defeat the big boss at the end and it fades to black and you are back in your room.

+1 for Borderlands. The ending was flat, but I still loved the game and can't wait for Borderlands 3!

Was disappointed in ME3's ending but the DLC (especially Leviathan) helped a lot. I also hated the ending of Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2. Like damn I really HATED the entirety of that game and it was one of my most anticipated games that year.

Tropico 5: being a great fan of the tropico series, the 5 requires a lot of DLCs to have fun (which quadruples the price of the game) and is not as hard and far from being as fun as the 4.
