VISA Electron HELP!!

Hi, i got a visa electron debit card yesterday hoping i wud be able to use it online as most places have the visa electron icon,BUT i hav tried depositing into a neteller account and the transaction was declined,i tried depositing into a poker site nd also declined.I am with absa, is this normal?

VISA Electron can't be used online, only for ATM's and POS purchases. For online use you need a VISA card.

even if you get a visa debit card /pre paid South Africa bank restrict it to internet use,
contact the bank and ask them if they will remove the restriction

i can't understand that either i've tried everything to make internet purchases but it won't work
