Just make sure he shares when he does:p We can be the subjects!
Wellim on my GF's laptop now and its running Vista. Not bad but nothing great either.

I've read rumours that there is a possible new MS OS in the works for late '09? Anyone else seen/heard of this?

Windows 7, its based on either Server 2008 code or Miniwin. However I don't expect it before 2012 since this is Microsoft we are talking about. Although they did release milestone 1 which looks like Vista

Unfortunately you are right. Virtualbox allows for 128Mb of VRAm but no 3d and VMware allows for some 3d but only 8-16MB VRAM. Both give you one but not the other..... :(

That I feel is so damn stupid, seriously why can't anyone achieve this? If they could many people would flock

Yeah, it is called Windows 7 (I got beaten to the post again) and I hope it doesn't come out soon. Really. Otherwise it's going to be like Vista- born too early and thus full of crap and bugs. It's going to have to be really something if M$ wants to regain trust in their failing products.

Ha you are beaten again, *evil laugh*:D

Oh good grief if Windows 7 is like Vista "before SP1" then I'll stick with Vista. Wait that sounds like a debate I know already!

And I hope the pricing is more realistic. Vista is just a rip-off!

True. I have read that it was supposed to be almost a streamlined "version"of vista. But hey...who know what monster they'll come up with.

I really wish they would release the OS, Vista was supposed to be. WinFS and all those other features

As many of you know, I always had a dislike for Vista. Infact I would rather have used Linux and struggled getting Windows Games to run on it. (if anyone tells me that it works perfectly, NOT ALL GAMES RUN ON CEDEGA, WINE OR CROSS OVER GAMES, sorry for the rant there)

After my fun with XP (its getting old now, seriously); Linux (I love this os I really do, but for everyday usage with the odd game, sorry but not yet)

I sat my self down and decided I would give Vista another go (I did pay for it after all) and decided I would slipstream SP1 into Vista along with all the latest updates.

I downloaded Vlite, and slipstreamed SP1 into my Vista Home Premium (x64). Then I finally burnt the ISO and formated my PC,, removing all other Os's including my old Vista install.

After install, I immediately felt a huge improvement in Vista, better performance, more stability, increased reliability. So far this OS for me, finally feels what Vista should have been like when it was released.

At the moment, I have no desire to use another OS, unless of cause something better comes along. :D:D:D

Sometime ago you had alot to say about not installing Vista... Glad you finally saw the light :p
