Vista SP1 Local Download??

Hello, possible to download Vista SP1 from local site?

Im taking the brave step and moving towards Vista again :)

If I remember correctly, WindowsUpdate data counts as local traffic.

Ok, so normal updates with Vista will only be downloaded locally?

Im only connecting my local cap, lets hope it works, thx a lot :)

Anyone know of a 64bit version which I can fully download locally?

Vista SP1 x64 direct from Microsoft on local...

Also, is it possible to download AVG updates and store them somewhere and if you format you can only update from that specific folder instead of downloading every time?

Yes, just download them from AVG's site and then update by folder.

The updates are stored under:
c:\Documents and Settings\All users\application data\grisoft\<somewhere here>

Forgot the exact path but the above is pretty close. The application data folder is hidden, so you might have to change your folder settings to see it.:)

The updates get flushed from the folder after a few weeks I think.

I don't think so. Static downloads from the microsoft server are mirrored by the SA akamai servers. The update servers themselves are not afaik.
