The article says that they are discontinuing Workstation Player. This may explain why the download links have been broken lately.

Yup, deleted "my" key from regedit and opened it.

So I went through the new download process... what an irrational slog.

Will still be sticking to VirtualBox or QEMU variants though.... for some reason they still have the bug that locks up your host system when you activate a network device.... on Linux at least you can reisub out of it.... on Windows you have to use the reset button.
