Vodacom 300GB + 400GB Feedback

Just bought 1gb and tested speeds on my vodacom sim and I get around 6mb in my area on lte. So I guess the 100mb deal is a no go for me. Rather stick to my 50mb fibre line
 
Anyone else unable to transfer data? Started a week ago where tobi would say successful but it doesn't transfer the data. Ussd worked until yesterday and now it's just an error message when I select data transfer.

How do you mean transfer data? You mean transfer data from your monthly allocation to another Vodacom number? I don't believe that is allowed. You can buy data for someone else, but not transfer data from your contract monthly bundle to someone else. Unless the rules have since changed.

It is allowed. As long as you transfer to another contract or a topup number. We've been doing it for ages now. You can save 5 numbers to which you can transfer data to. It's only valid for 7 days and if it's monthly data you can only transfer is 25 days before expire.

My 36 month contract is suppose end next month, can I cancel online or do I need to go in store.

Same here. I contacted them on the 3rd of October and cancelled. Even got a reference number. You have to be persistent though and demand a cancellation. 082 1958.

They told me call back in nov as deal only ends in december. The sales guy try and sold me the R200 for 15gb 3 times, before i ask him to stop selling me some random crap.

I called in late September then they told me I could only cancel in October without penalty. If I wanted to cancel in September it would be a cancellation fee of R2200 (emailed me the quote).

When I called in early October they said they can only cancel it effective end of November but the contract end date is 16 November when I log into my vodacom profile. So guess I'll be paying full price for those last two weeks in November

And just like that the amount went from R281 to more than R800. Gave notice in October.

Ouch - and it looks like they're not going to offer this type of deal this year sadly :(

What are you moving to out of interest?
