Great news! Vodacom knows where to invest their money correctly. Maybe time for me to stock up on their shares.

So did they buy the shares from their parent company Vodafone or did they buyout the last other partner?

Above link explains it more simply , to me at least

Long story short , Vodacom Group bought out Vodafone Group PLC stake in Vodafone Egypt
Vodacom now has management control of VF Egypt and will report on Egypt in its financial statements etc
As a result of this more responsibility Vodafone Group PLC now has a higher shareholding in Vodacom Group
Long story short it seems maybe South Africa can better manage things in Egypt than the Londoners can and this purchase cements that
