Ummm bull****. Are you telling me that Vodacom does not have a big board in their offices about BEE and employment equity?

No, they are only promising BEE when CWU goes on strike and then they withdraw it. :)

And as for their employment equity, I think they are having problems here and there because even with their window dressing, they can't or won't counteract the policies they have that give discretion to managers to promote people based on personal relationships rather than merit. So they end up with a very racialised workplace anyway.

Overall, I'm the first one to say that affirmative action is necessary, but with careful oversight so that it is not abused, and Vodacom has absolutely no oversight.
