doesn't quantity of towers, i.e. more towers per area, make for a better & faster connection? In practise I have found that, with same signal strength, VC connection on HSDPA is much faster than MTNs in many areas, where it matters to me (speaking for myself there).
I have 2 MTN contracts which I have to use for data, and VC prepaid for when I need the speed...
VC also not "faster than (1Mbps) ADSL" consistently, but on average closer to 1Mbps than MTN. My guess has always been this due to VC more HSDPA towers, but i suppose cud also be due to more users on MTN (doesn't help me with speed tho)
