How long does it normally take to reach a damn consultant?

Shall I bother to stay on hold (from a telkom phone :() or have they all gone home?

From the website:
VODACOM CUSTOMER CARE

Which Vodacom call centre number are you calling and why are you not calling from a cellphone with any Vodacom SIM card as that method is tollfree?

Any cellphone with any Vodacom SIM card - even a R2.00 pre-paid SIM card from Pick'nPay allows you to call Vodacom's call centres tollfree.

I have this thing where I refuse to pay Telkodemonopolies good money when there is a tollfree method.

BTW, does this have anything to do with internet connectivity, HSDPA, email etc, or is it about the damaged cellphone? - if it's about the cellphone being damaged then this thread needs to be moved to the Cellular forum.

Ah, sorry didn't spot the cellular forum, yes please move it. (was just looking for "vodacom" in the title)

Maybe I'll get a vodacom sim, hope my current phone isn't locked... Don't see why I should buy a sim and boost their numbers by 1 when they treat you like sh*t though...

If it is about the damaged cellphone, I assume that Vodacom's 111 call centre will only be able to help if your contract is with [searchforum]VSP[/searchforum], if it is with a different service provider then you will need to contact that other service provider directly.

Another option, if it is VSP, is to send an email to customercare@vodacom.co.za - this option is sometimes better than holding on the line to speak to a call centre agent, and you end up with a written record as well.

AFAIK if you use the phone for more than 15mins, you are deemed to have accepted it and cannot return it under the warranty.
One of life's great ironies, considering the time it takes to get through to Vodacom. (Don't ring during Isidingo:p)
