Vodacom denies poor network quality

Despite objective network tests showing poor results, Vodacom denies failing to meet industry regulator Icasa’s network quality standards.

Icasa’s End-user and Subscriber Charter Regulations sets strict standards for service levels for voice and data from South African telecommunications players.

Honestly Vodacom is the only reliable network in the whole of Northern Cape. MTN fails regularly. Not an option in the Northern cape anymore. Don't get a contract for MTN if you're in the NC

Yet their CEO was awarded some award by MYBB...
How does this work?
I personally moved to MTN cos I found that the Vodacom network was rubbish

Not defending Vodacom, but testing a single town doesn't neccessarily reflect national network performance. There could have been temporary problems such as load-shedding or cable theft or transmission issues etc.
I'm sure there are many towns where other operators would also "fail".
Biased reporting to satisfy the sponsors, in my opinion.

That's fine, but if ICASA's standards aren't met then they are failing to provide the service they are selling in that town and should not be entitled to sell it as such.

They should be forced to either bring their service up to the required standards, or made to remove that area from their coverage map (stop selling) and reimburse their customers who did not receive the service they are paying for. The same should apply to all network providers and in every town in the country.

I don't understand what the purpose of ICASA's standards are if not for the above reasoning?

Wanna see crap network vodacom? Come to delmas! I havent been able to make a call without it dropping in years. And thats when you eventually able to make a call.

Vodacom is like ANC, their shortcomings do not lead to loss of voters.

Shameel will explain it away by defining a blended network quality test result which easily beats the world's best ever recorded values.
