Hi guys, sorry i know this has been mentioned before but i cant for the life of me or google find it.
How do i disable caller id on vodacom?
I know you enter a code before calling, but just cant find it.
Thanks

remove number sending in the settings on the phone. The person will only recieve "Private Number" when it calls.

on my 6680 the folders go Menu --> Tools --> Settings --> Call --> Send my caller ID --> here u select No, Yes or set by network

Actually *31*number#
Or you can set it in the phone setting if you want to disable it for all calls.
But it depends if you network allows it. Generally contract subscribers have to pay to enable the feature, prepaid subscribers already have it enabled.

I just had to call Vodacom and ask that they enable it - there wasnt a charge.

Autopage wanted to charge me R10 a month or something :( Which SP are you with?

Turbo_Aspriation - yes it's #31#number from a cellphone. *31* from a landline (telkom line). The the R9 or whatever payed for on cell contracts is to see who is calling you. i.e. you pay for the ability to be able to see who's calling you when you receive a call

Vodaworld Magazine, Autumn 2006 issue states that it's a FREE service. (Then again, it also states elsewhere in this issue that you can choose your own number by simply buying a (new & improved) Super 6 Starter Pack, but not a single retailer in Gauteng or the W-Cape have even HEARD of this offering - not even the front desk employees at various outlets inside Vodaworld in Midrand!)

But what if you signed up via Nashua/Autopage? Are they "allowed" to charge you for CLIR? (Caller Line Identity Restriction)
