Vodacom download speed 4 times slower on LTE modem compared to iPhone 6 on same spot

I recently got Vodacom LTE installed at our home as I saw on my iPhone I get download speed of >60mb/sec and upload of 19mb/sec. With the LTE modem I get only 13Mb/sec download and 19Mb/sec upload speed. This speed stays more or less the same for days now and I hold the two devices next to each other. Vodacom lend me a test LTE modem,before I signed up, on which I got 39Mb/sec download speed. Does anyone now what could be the reason for the hugh difference in download speed between the iPhone and the LTE modem/router?

The Iphone 6 supports Cat 4 lte. What LTE version does the dongle going into the router support?

Be that as it may, 13mbps is still pretty decent. If you are talking about BC LTE, the product is being sold @ 9mpbs average speed

Hi Ockie, the vodacom dongle has "USB speed 6" written on. Not sure if this says anything about the speed...
