A whole GIG for only R83.25 per GB! That is so amamamazing I almost fell off my chair.
 
A 60 or 70% drop in price should warrant a press release not a whole 20% lol.

Its like when stores have these huge sale signs and you walk in there is a 10% or 20% reduction in price, what the hell is the point of having a sale!

The out-of-bundle price for both these data bundles is R2/MB – in line with other pre-paid data products.

This is the Vodacom business model right here. Fail!!! Scum of the earth for offering this with the only objective to take advantage of non tech savvy people. Imagine this on LTE. Will ruin people.

Smartdata 24GB (+21.6Mbps Speed Stick): Once-off payment R1999 (2GB every 30 days x 12)

R200.00 for 10gig.
I know it is on contract.
 
Hang on a WHOLE GIGABYTE? ZOMG that's OVER 1000 megabytes! How will anyone possibly ever use that?! I've got movies that you couldn't download in a year with 1gb/mo...

As for OOB yeah R2/mb is criminal but it's prepaid so you can't exactly get nailed unless you happen to put R10000 airtime on that sim...
 
I am glad to see VC going under their unsustainable threshhold....

But seriously big up to catching on to the bandwagon eventually and offering it on PREPAID:) R2/MB OOB shark left with just gums. Please try catch up a little more and make top up once-off bundles reasonable as well!

CellC did this 2 years ago(end 2010)... I used the product... R1499(including 7.2mbps modem!) for 2GB a month for 12 months. Now Vodacom comes up with the exact same product 2 years late(r)! Fail!

The only people that will be ecstatic are those that only have Vodacom 3G reception in their area! 8ta and CellC still lead data the pricing war!

And oh... are you offering a modem inclusive? If so which one? :D
