Old thread, but indeed it will be interesting to see, if Vodascum will finally be allowing eSIM since that is all the new iPhone 14 seems to come with.
So what you gonna do Vodascum??? Finally get going????
Huh?
It's 2022... eSIM is fully functional and available on Vodacom with the iPhone, and has been for yonks now.
Also MTN, Telkom and CellC all support eSIM too.
Vodacom don’t officially support eSim on iPhone unless you do a work around. I did and never got sms’s.Huh?

Just use another network or Vodacom as your primary sim and another provider for everything else.Really hope Vodacom brings prepaid eSIM support soon.

I'm on Telkom as my main sim and MTN/Cell C as my eSims
Only in SA. In the UK they fully support this. A post from long ago said it was their implementation that caused the issue. @jannievanzyl maybe you can chip in?Ridiculous that in 2022 the failing bankrupt Cell C has full eSIM support and the global cellular giant, Vodacon doesn't.

NOPE! Vodascum refuse to activate the eSIM on my Z Flip 3. So I went and got the Fold 4 over the weekend. Back to having 2 separate bleeding SIM cards in the phone again.Huh?

It's mind boggling how Vodacom can still be the dominant player. It's understandable 15 years ago when there weren't many options but there's much better today.NOPE! So archaic! They love the dominion over all their subjects don't they????
If you can avoid Vodascum, do it. Hope they read my comments, but they wouldn't be bothered either way.
