Also have you ever wondered why the daytime OOB rate is the same as the midnight OOB rate?

I have little sympathy for OOB victims. It's almost always self inflicted through stupidity.

While oob is evil that's just stupid.

Practically the same as handing an employee a credit card.

Yes I concur - a good example of it.

Contracts which give you "free nightowl", are the ones where the OOB shark roam, people still seem to think they work like the topup contracts.
Stupidity for not applying "Caveat Emptor" let the buyer beware plus failing to read the contract before signing.
No sympathy for this idiot. Now they always run to the media for their own stupidity and sympathy.

Until it happens to a family member.
Luckily I've made sure everyone I know is specifically on top up.

But I still keep hearing it constantly happening to someone else, and there's normally thousands of rands gone afterwards especially those who only have a gig and the R2 rate + windows update.

Btw how did they get 6Gig @ R170 in the first place, that would be great if it wasn't for the OOB.

What the hell is wrong with all you unsympathetic guys? :wtf:. Not everyone is clued up on how these contracts work and how they will be charged over limit.

The networks don't highlight such things in big bold print.

Maybe they think there has been enough exposés in the media (TV and print and online) about this that people will know about it, but then some people actively avoid the media (but obviously there is a cost to that too)...
