Vodacom launches "pay-once" 12GB and 24GB prepaid deals

I'm looking for something that will give me in the region of 6GB valid for 12 months that I can bolt on to my voice contract.
 
The Cell C deal looks a lot better. It's only data, so brand doesn't make a huge difference, and Cell C uses 900mhz so better penetration into buildings. My Vodacom at home is very sketchy.
 
What a joke. You launch a product that's exactly the same as your competitor but you make it 50% MORE expensive. Huh? Who the hell is running Vodacom's marketing department.
 
What would make anyone go for this than CellC's offer?
At least there's light at the end of the tunnel:
Yesterday's data "promotion" has prices between 6 and 12 times of CellC's (rounded).
Today's offering is 'only' (around) double that of CellC!
Who knows, next week Vodacom might come up with a competitive product!

If you travel around often, this is an excellent deal.
Also a good backup for a fixed line connection at home if coverage for the other networks is bad.
 
yeah, look its not cheap but for people stuck on Vodacom for whatever reason R100 a Gb is better than R100 for 75Mb or whatever charges they had in the past.
 
Look at the terms and conditions. Only available to Prepaid, not to Contract or Topup customers. Once loaded, you will forfeit all when you convert to contract. Still the same R2/MB out of bundle rates and still use of last bundle first. Rather go for any other network.
