Hoping someone can help.
Where to find a map showing the Vodacom LTE towers ?
( YES I have Googled -- all the coverage maps I have found do NOT indicate tower location )

As LTE best performance is dependent on your location with respect to where the LTE towers are ( and how you set up and align your antenna ) this is critical information.

OK so I hear -- go stand on the roof and rotate through 360 degrees to see where the best signal is
REALLY !

Knowing exactly where the towers are ( what their ID's are ) makes things so much easier and simpler especially if using a directional antenna.

Anyone know who to contact to acquire this info ?
( Does Vodacom make use of professional installers ? ) ( Who are they ? )

Drive around in your town:p I also hate that they took off the Cell info Display with that discount crap now.
Used to always say "Meerhof" or "Hartbeespoort1" on the old Nokia's tried doing that again the other day since the new smartphones dont have Cell Info display.

I did notice the tower in Meerhof for example has a sign on the gate with a Cell ID code, starts with a "B"
I see you are in KZN..I know that Electrowave does most of the work there.

Happy Compromise

Thanks for the hints
Electrowave ? ( before I go and Google them )

Seeing as a directional antenna is normally the most efficient

I should be able to go to someone and say --
This is my location , where and what are my nearest towers.
This is my profile
These are my connectivity needs ( time of day , throughput etc etc )
Which are the most congested ( some idea of the type of traffic and time of day)

I should then be able to find some happy [compromise] solution that meets my needs.

The other option is to have a completely motorised solution and then align the antenna to whatever tower gives the best results.
The serious Satellite guys have already got this all worked out.
