Hi guys, need some advice...
So vodacom just completed their ftth infrastructure in my hood and i have just had my order approved by them... 40/20 uncapped
Subsequently i have learnt that Accelerit can also provide ISP service on the vodacom fibre network...
Vodacom with their line management, locking you out of their router etc leavesa bad taste... on the other hand, accelerit dont have favourabke reviews on the net re their bad speed in peak times especially the likesof twitch etc... not sure if the accelerit network has improved over the past months and whether there is awork around to get the vodacom ppoe credentials so thati canuse my own router...
What to do???
Any advice would really assist...

Well if you don't mind Vodacom locking down the router and the 1.5TB FUP then Vodacom is fine.

Vodacom also have a claw back fee if I'm not mistaken. So really up to you.

My router was supplied and installed together with the line. And was immediately working.

You are lucky...
How long have you been going and how is the network?
Speed stable?
Peak time performance?

Been with vodacom for the last 11 months.
I get full speed all the time. The internet has been extremely stable except for Two weekends ago the internet was on and off the whole weekend. Also since easter my connection usually drops during the day only about 3 to 5 times for about 10 minutes at a time. This might have been cause they became item access. This was resolved last Thursday though. People do tend to complain about twitch live streams, i don't use the service. I do only have a 10Mbps line though, will be upgrading when i change isps though.

Your pain is not going to stop, once you recieve the router. I have been with VC for 15months. Had to lodge complaints with ICASA twice to get my issues resolved. I have given up and cancelled this morning and will be moving to CISP.

let me know if I can assist you cross-over @deonmoodley Generally just avoid taking out contracts for flexibility so if you aren't in contract you should be able to switch across seamlessly. "Don't be evil" they say so zero evil this side!
