Vodacom prepaid price plan comparison

Vodacom has many prepaid price plans to choose from that offer varying voice, data, and SMS rates. MyBroadband compared them to determine which is best for data and voice-centric users.

The mobile operator lists nine prepaid price plans on its website.

Can MyBB do a similar article on MTN's prepaid plans please.

I'm still trying to find / determine the cheapest prepaid option for MTN customers who rely on voice calls. The MTN website is utterly confusing and not of much use.

Yes please do an article on MTN.

Regarding Voda's 79c per minute plan. It's useless unless your average call duration is a couple of minutes.
Nevertheless, thinking of the many times I make calls and it goes to voicemail, and I hate leaving these, that 2 second "call" is charged then at 79c on the billed per minute scheme.

They really have one of the worst websites to navigate - honestly I feel like they are trying to hide their rates!

I always convert airtime to voice bundles no matter what plan I use.
Try the MyTownOffers on the Made4U menu (*142#).

The price is per minute, but it is calculated on a per second basis.

Tried changing my man's number to the LTE plan because he uses a lot of Facebook and when our power goes off he uses a lot of data. The LTE plan does not come up on the USSD free change method nor is it a option on the Vodacom app. He is currently on the 79c plan...so maybe that is why. I have now changed him to the Power Pack plan and once that is done I will see if the LTE one becomes available to change to.

If I'm not mistaken one can switch to the LTE plan on newly purchased sims only; or on sims that were bought after the LTE plan was launched.

In other words older sims (i.e. Vodacom numbers ) cannot switch to the LTE plan.

Oh dear. I will have a look on the Vodacom Knowledge Base system tomorrow and look up the business rules on the Prepaid LTE plan. I work with Vodacom Business accounts so not up to date on the Prepaid plans. Will post here tomorrow what I find.
