Vodacom Promotional (prepaid) Data Bundles

Is there a catch with Vodacom's Promotional prepaid Data Bundles, maybe the connection-quality or speed or something? Why are the two types i.e. Regular (for about R249 per Gb) and the Promotional data bundles (for R149 per Gb) running side by side and we have the option to choose either of them to purchase?

"Normal" data expire at the end of the next month, so if you purchase today it wil only expire and of march. promotional data is only valid for 30 days.
